Portugal draft clarifies when employee pay-information rights would start

15 October 2026 Published draft Published draft

Portugal’s official public-appraisal draft would make comparator and annual/hourly pay-information rights available from the first day of the month after the final law is published. The proposal remains non-operative.

What changed

The tracker previously recorded the proposed employee-information right but left its comparator and annual-average availability dates blank. Article 3-A creates the right, Article 2 defines pay level as gross annual plus corresponding gross hourly remuneration, and Article 7 supplies the draft’s general commencement rule.

What it means for employers

Continue complying with Law 60/2018. Treat the new timing as proposed only, and verify the final enacted text and publication date before activating the Directive-specific information workflow.
