Italy confirms annual comparator-pay information has applied since June
Italy’s enacted pay-transparency decree gives workers sex-disaggregated comparator averages on both annual-gross and hourly-gross bases from 7 June 2026.
What changed
The tracker previously recorded the comparator-information right and its 7 June commencement but left the annual-average timing blank. Article 7 of D.Lgs. 96/2026 expressly pairs annual gross remuneration with the corresponding gross hourly remuneration; Article 17 makes the framework effective from 7 June 2026.
What it means for employers
Employers should be able to produce both annual-gross and corresponding hourly-gross comparator averages when responding to worker information requests. Reporting-system mechanics remain subject to the separate Article 9 technical decree.
