Finland’s equality authority calls for changes to the pay-transparency bill
The Equality Ombudsman has raised implementation concerns in its parliamentary opinion on HE 129/2026. These recommendations have not amended the bill.
What changed
The opinion seeks clearer pay and equal-value definitions, changes to the JPA timeline and stronger enforcement arrangements. The bill remains pending.
What it means for employers
Prepare against the published proposal and monitor committee amendments. The authority’s recommendations do not themselves change employer obligations or dates.
