Hungary’s legislative programme confirms pay-transparency bill preparation
The Government’s autumn 2026 programme lists a pay-transparency bill. It expected submission in September and requested adoption in October. The programme does not confirm that either milestone occurred.
What changed
The tracker’s formal stage changes from No public measure to Official preparation after verification of programme item 12. The planned presenter is the Minister for Social Affairs and Family Affairs. No operative bill text, actual filing, adoption or commencement is established by this document.
What it means for employers
Continue existing equal-pay controls and monitor the actual bill dossier and operative text. The programme’s planning months are not employer deadlines and do not establish national recruitment, employee-information, reporting or joint-pay-assessment requirements.
